Claremont is a city located in the Comté of Los Angeles, about 45 kilometers in the east of the downtown area of Los Angeles; the city was built at the base of the mountains of San Gabriel. Claremont, 33.998 inhabitants, is known for its seven academies.

The city is in major residential part, with some marketing activities centered around the " Village" , a zone of small offices, stores and restaurants adjacent with the Claremont Colleges.
