Clarabelle in animation
Like the majority of the " old women stars" Disney, Clarabelle began as a supporting character: a not-human animal of farm in the first cartoon of Mickey Mouse, Planes Crazy (1928). Documentation relating to film the reference under the name of Carolyn , but this name will be employed only on this occasion. The name of Clarabelle is allotted to him only to its fifth appearance (which is also the first as a humanized character) in The Shindig (1930). Clarabelle will appear then in several tens of cartoons until the symphonic Hour ( Symphony Hour , 1942), after which it will disappear until the Christmas de Mickey ( Mickey' S Christmas Carol , 1983).
Clarabelle and its Horace boyfriend appeared in more cartoons than it is supposed. In fact, the two characters were stars major until the medium of the Années 1930, the cow slightly exceeding its in love in popularity. Both were however supplanted by Dingo, not because they were less interesting but because the teams of Disney put this last ahead as well in the cartoons as in the Cartoons.
At the beginning of their careers, Clarabelle and Horace showed a capacity out it common to pass from the statute of animals of firm commun runs to that of characters Anthropomorphique S. Apparemment at the origin, Clarabelle was equipped with a skirt to confer a little modesty on bovidé rubbery and to hide its copious appendix. Clarabelle and Horace are promised in marriage since 1931.
With the Television, Clarabelle appeared in some episodes of Mickey Mouse Works (1999-2001) and in Disney' S All out of box (2000-03) where it is chroniqueuse fashionable (its slogan: " The gossip is always vrais" ). Its relationship with Horace seems slack because it flirte on the occasion with Dingo. More recently, it appeared in the House of Mickey (2006).
The cinema, Clarabelle played in Mickey, Donald, Dingo the 3 Musketeers (2004) as a henchman of Pat Hibulaire and liked object of Nutcase.
It made a short appearance in Kingdom Hearts II in the world of the Timeless Rivière .
There is no information on the actress who lent to him her animated voice in the first drawings. On the other hand in the Prince and Poor the ( The Prince and the Pauper , 1990), it was Elvia Allman and since 1999, it is April Winchell.
