Clan Kudara No Konikishi

The clan Kudara No Konikishi (ja 百済王) is a Japanese Clan whose founder, Zenkō (ja 善光) was the son of the last king of the old Korean kingdom of Paekche (Kudara, in Japanese), the king Uija.

The clan Kudara No Konikishi was a family ( uji ) which represented with the Japan her country of origin. " Konikishi" (王) means king and " 百済 " are the Kanji S to write " Paekche, " one of the three old kingdoms of Korea during the period " Samguk" (57 years before JC - 668 AD). The clan Kudara No Konikishi is thus the " clan of the kings of Paekche".

The founder of the clan, Zenkō arrived at the Japan in 643 as an hostage with his Hōshō older brother. Zenkō became the chief of the clan because his/her brother turned over in Korea to try to make revive Paekche which had been annexed by the kingdom of Silla.
