Clairmarais (district of Rheims)

The district rémois of Clairmarais is the future business district of the agglomeration. Located just behind the Station of Rheims, in the vicinity immediate of the downtown area and some encablures of the highway A4, it profits from a situation privileged in the middle of the city.

The programme of rehabilitation of this old district is related to the arrival, in the caused station, of the TGV-Is as of June 2007. From the point of view of the economic development of the city the municipality decided to make a district of businesses of it, proposing a large surface available of offices as well as residences.

At present approximately 30.000 m ² of offices left ground, in the place of individual or industrial constructions older. In the long term it is from 70 to 80 thousand square meters which will be placed at the disposal.

The district will thus be structured around the station, which will be seen arranging a second square on the side of this district (the current one facing the downtown area), which will become in the next years the pole of exchanges of reference of the agglomeration (tram, coach station, carparks,…)
