Cléopâtre II

Cléôpatre Philométôr Soteira (-181/-116) is the girl of the Pharaon Ptolémée {{V}} and of Cléopâtre {{Ire}} Syra and the sister and marries Pharaon S Ptolémée {{VI}} Philométôr and Ptolémée {{VIII}} Evergète {{II}} Tryphon.

She marries in -172 her older brother Ptolémée {{VI}} and gives him four children: Ptolémée Eupatôr king de Chypre, Ptolémée {{VII}} Néos Philopatôr, Cléopâtre {{III}} Évergète and Cléopâtre Théa.

With died of her husband to the combat in -145, it becomes regent, his second wire Ptolémée Néos Philopatôr being only fifteen years old. One year later she marries its second brother Ptolémée {{VIII}} Evergète {{II}} Tryphon, and gives him a son, Ptolémée Memphites (Because born in Memphis).

Ptolémée {{VIII}} makes assassinate its nephew Ptolémée {{VII}} heir to the throne and, in -142 takes for second marries his/her niece Cléopâtre {{III}} Évergète, which gave him Ptolémée {{IX}}, Ptolémée {{X}} and three girls, Cléopâtre Tryphaena, Cléopâtre {{IV}} and Cléopâtre Séléné.

The conflict between the two queens becomes inevitable. In -132, Ptolémée {{VIII}} makes kill his/her son Ptolémée Memphites, 13 years old and sends its body cut to his/her mother. It is one of the reasons of the civil war which bursts and the fractionation of the state. Cléopâtre seizes the power with Alexandria.

In -129, Ptolémée IX reconquers all the country except for Alexandria which always sympathizes with Cléopâtre. It ends up taking the city in -126, but Cléopâtre flees in Syria with the royal treasure.

In -123, Cléopâtre returns of exile, reconciles with Cléopâtre {{III}} and Ptolémée {{VIII}} and they reigns jointly until the death of this last in -116. She dies the same year.
