The Citadels de Halifax was a frankness from Hockey which evolved/moved in the American Ligue of hockey, North-American championship .
History
The team evolved/moved with Halifax in the province of the Nova Scotia and existed of 1988 with 1993. Their name comes from a Citadelle celebrates, dominating the port of Halifax. The team was affiliated with the Nordiques of Quebec of the National league of hockey.This team was the new name of the Express of Fredericton and allowed the area to have a new team of hockey after the departure of the Cape-Breton Oilers of Nova Scotia for at the beginning of season.
Sportivement, the team forever succeeded in going well far in the eliminatory Series: qualified twice, they are twice eliminated with the first turn. In 1993, the team moves once again and joined Cornwall to become the Aces de Cornwall. One year after the departure of the frankness, the Mooseheads de Halifax of the Ligue of hockey major junior of Quebec settle in the city.
