The quoted of the clouds is a city which floats on the surface of the planet Bespin of the Star Wars .

The City of the Clouds, whose governor is Lando Calrissian, was used as ambush with the Empire to capture Han Solo as well as the princess Leïa Organa in the Épisode V. Han Solo there will be tortured in the presence of Dark Vador, will be come to accommodate them in person and waiting patiently until Luke Skywalker comes to help his/her friends to convert it at the obscure side of the Force. Han Solo will be frozen thereafter in a block of carbon on order of Dark Vador, to be delivered by the bargain hunter Boba Fett, with the palate of Jabba Hutt on Tatooine. Before its congelation Leïa Organa and Han Solo will have time to acknowledge their love. It is as in this same episode as Luke Skywalker and Dark Vador delivered their first duel in the entrails of the city, a duel which saw the victory of the lord Sith after this one disarmed its young adversary by slicing the hand to him.

This city enters the legend of the saga because it is the place where Dark Vador will reveal in Luke Skywalker that he is his father. The young person Jedi, depity and extenué, refusing to follow his father on the way on the obscure side, will jump in the entrails of the city before being saved in extremis by Leïa and Lando on board the Faucon Millenium .
