Presentation and geography

The Vieux Mans , recently renamed is the principal place of history of the city. It is remotely very weak Center-Republic and of the Jacobins. Specificities of formerly

The Gallo-Roman wall which surrounded the old city was made up of 26 turns and 11 doors. With about 700 meters length along the Sarthe and approximately 400 meters in perpendicular with the river, the wall formed an almost perfect rectangle. The place the most attended at that time remote was the thermal baths, built in the middle of the first century of our era. This monument at summer entirely excavated in 1987 and is preserved today under the old school Claude-Cap in the best possible state, time having âbimé the entire building considerably.
