Circumstantial complement

The circumstantial complements according to the circumstances which they specify are divided into:

  • time : It will come tomorrow ;
  • manner : It will come in the train ;
  • place: It will come in this house ;
  • causes : They acted by jealousy ;
  • average : He travels in the plane ;
  • comparison : He saw like a bear ;
  • goal : They work to grow rich ;
  • consequence : It made a success of for our greater joy ;
  • opposition : In spite of the rain , we will continue our voyage.
  • concession : Although he learned his lesson , he is afraid to be questioned;
  • condition : If you prepare well, you will succeed;
  • matter : He builds ground ;
  • quantity: He has of it twice as much as me ;
  • price : It costs two hundred euros ;
  • weight : It weighs hundred kilos ;
  • distance : It advances of two meters ;
  • accompaniment : It will come with a friend

The preposition or the adverb which introduces the circumstantial complement is included/understood in the complement.
