Circumambulation in the Islam

Tawaf , the circumambulation, indicates the seven turns carried out by the Moslems in Pèlerinage with Mecque around the Kaaba: these seven turns are essential.

Circumambulation in the Buddhism

Pradaksina (Sanskrit), means to make the turn of a Bouddha, a statue while representing, a Stupa, a temple or of a place of Pèlerinage.

It is in general a question of turning in the direction of the needles of a watch, although the Bön recommends the opposite direction.
