The cinnamon-tree of China (Cinnamomum aromaticum) is a tree of the family of the Lauracées originating in China.

Synonym: Cinnamomum cassia Born ex Blume

Use

Just like the cinnamon-tree of Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum) , this tree has an aromatic bark rich in essential Huile. This spice, the breakage, is also sold under the name of cinnamon of China. This one is used in kitchen like Condiment. The cinnamon oil of China is also used in Parfumerie and Aromathérapie. Pricklier and less expensive than the grooves of Ceylon, it is very widespread on the US market.
