Cinnamomum
Cinnamomum is one of trees and shrubs belonging to the family of the bay-trees ( Lauraceae ).
Distribution
The kind is composed of more than 300 Espèce S originating in the tropical and hot areas in Asia in South-east mainly but also in Central America and South America.
Use
The species of Cinnamomum produce essential oils starting from their Feuille S and of their bark. The most known species of Cinnamomum are:
- the Cinnamon-tree S ( Cinnamomum verum or C. zeylanicum , so known under the name of cinnamon-tree of Ceylon),
- the Camphor tree Camphor Laurel ( C. will camphora ),
- the cinnamon-tree of Vietnam ( Cinnamomum loureiroi )
