Cinéphilie

The cinéphilie , in its etymological direction, is the love of the Cinéma.

For several authors (Jean Tulard, Antoine de Baecque), the cinéphilie knew two phases: the first, a specifically French phase, being spread out end of the Second world war in May 1968 and knowing its apogee in the years 1950, then one second phase corresponding to the development of the means of communication (popularization of the Television, Video tape recorder S, readers of DVD). For Antoine de Baeque, this second phase corresponds to the decline of the “true cinéphilie”, while others consider that it is about the appearance of a new form of cinéphilie, exchanging the dark room against the reader of DVD.
