Cimbasso

The cimbasso is an instrument of the brass family.

It is a Trombone double bass with pistons or pallets (from 3 to 5), cousin of the Tuba and Soubassophone, and generally in F or Sib (B flat).

It was céer in Italy about 1830 and in particular used in the opera of Verdi or Puccini.

It is conceived to be played sitted on a chair.
