Cillian Murphy

Biography

Cillian studied the right to the University of Cork. Its first artistic motivations were rather musical, having taken part in a group named “ Sons off Mr. Greengenes ”. Its first big role was obtained for the part “ Observe The Sons off Ulster Marching Towards The Somme ”. Then, it took the road by taking share with the theater tour “ Disco Pigs ”.

After having began again the role of “ Pig ” in two cinematographic versions of Disco music Pigs, it was noticed in 2002 for its participation in the British feature-length film 28 Days later .

In more detailed way, it also obtained some minor small roles including one in the film Retour to Cold Mountain diffused in 2003. It incarnates, in 2005, the Épouvantail, in the American feature-length film Batman Begins . It has finally the main role in last film of Ken Loach: the wind rises .
