Ciliature péritriche

One calls ciliature péritriche a system of Flagelle S recovering on all sides the surface of a Bactérie. These mobile filaments make it possible the bacterium to move while whirling in a liquid medium (hesitant mobility). The Salmonella S as well as the majority of the others Enterobacteriaceae are among the bacteria provided with such a system of propulsion.
