Cid Corman
Cid Corman , born the June 29th 1924 and deceased the March 12th 2004, is an American poet . He is also known as translator. Notable figure of American poetic currents of second half of the 20th century, it plays a part of pioneer as regards poetic improvisation and oral poetry. Its main work remains OFF , a collection in five volumes of its many poems. Some of its poems were translated into French in: Michel Deguy and Jacques Roubaud, 20 American poets , Paris, Gallimard, 1980 (poems translated by Joseph Guglielmi) And in the following reviews: Catch the , n°3, Relecq-Kerhuon, 1994 (translations of Dominique Quélen and Barbara Beck) In' today , n°48, Brussels and Paris, ED.
