Churchill is a city of the Manitoba, located close to the Hudson Bay. In 2006, it counts 923 inhabitants

The city is in extreme cases between Taiga and Toundra. It is also the world capital of the Polar bear because one finds much bear in the south of the city.

The port of Churchill was sold in 1997 by the government of Canada with the American company OmniTRAX Canada for the sum of 7$ Can. With global warming, the sea route of the Far North remains open for four months per year instead of two, increasing the profitability of the port.

It is the birthplace of Jordin Tootoo, player of the Predators of Nashville (Team of LNH).
