Churches of the two councils

The Églises of the two councils form a branch of the big family of the Eastern Églises. They were born from the refusal of the conclusions of the Concile of Éphèse in 431; they for that were described as “nestoriennes”.

With the Churches of the three councils, they are sometimes named Eastern orthodoxe Églises.
