Church of Heinävesi
The church of Heinävesi is a church évangélique-Lutheran in Bois located at Heinävesi in Finland. It was built between 1890 and 1891 according to the plans of Josef Stenbäck. The church is of style Néogothique, like much of constructions of this architect. The length of the building is of 40 meters, its width of 30 meters and its 45 meters height. It with a capacity of 2.000 seats what makes some the second larger church out of wooden of Finland. In the bell-tower two are bell S, the smallest date of 1765 and largest of 1906. The painting of the furnace bridge is the work of Johan Kortman and goes back to 1893. The original Organ of 25 locks at summer built by Jens Zachariassen in 1906. The factory of organ of Kangasala to manufactured in 1981 a new instrument of 33 locks using in 20 locks of the initial organ.
The first church of Heinävesi was a small vault, built in 1748. The second was a church out of sawn timber built in 1840 according to the plans of Carl Ludvig Engel but which burned in 1877.
In the garden of the church the museum of the rural district is located, the center of Pitäjäntupa and an old cemetery. The large hill of the church is historically a place of cultural expression. It dominates the lake Kermajärvi of 90 meters.
