Church Saint-Marc de Siersthal
The parish church Saint-Marc is located in the Commune Frenchwoman of Siersthal and the department of the the Moselle.
History
Building
Built with hillside, the church is rebuilt twice. The beginning of the first construction must be at the beginning of the year 1700. The December 4th 1701, a complaint mentions the need for rebuilding the church fallen in ruins. The carpenters are paid in 1704. The church is rebuilt one second time in the years 1730 with the expenses of the duke François III of Lorraine. The turn-bell-tower, to the load of the parish , is added in 1753 only.
The style baroque of the church, the high altar richly decorated, the Organ, the Gloss and the ceiling offer a great beauty to the glance. The church of Siersthal has a large collection of Sculpture S in Bois. The chorus, quite enlightened, comprises mural planks. The Clocher comprises four bell S including one bumblebee, indicating the key periods of the life to the villagers. A news carries in massive ChĂȘne is installed in the year 2000. ----
