Church Saint-Attaches

After the large fire of London in 1666, the Church Saint-Attaches was rebuilt while following the instructions of Mr. Christopher Wren, one of its most expensive churches and more raffinèes.

Since the 16th century, the district was associated in particular with printing works and recently with quotidient so that Saint Support became notorious like church of the Journalistes. During the Blitz the church was bombarded the night of December 29th, 1940 and the nave was completely destroyed.

In 1953, rebuilding work started and the admirably restored church was reopened in the presence of Its Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II and the prince Philippe Duc of Edinburgh on December 19th 1957.

Since, Saint Attaches was established like church for the industry of the Médias and for the business firms which moved of Fleet Street these last years.
