Chumbawamba
Chumbawamba is a group of Punk British rock'n'roll made famous in 1997 following the individual Tubthumping .
History
Originating for the majority of them in Burnley (in the north of the England), the members of Chumbawamba met in the neighborhoods of 1979 /1980 in the various concerts Punk of the time or at the university. For approximately 25 years, Chumbawamba has left many albums often very different from the ones to the others what always caused criticisms sometimes rather hard. Nevertheless, they always remained faithful to a marked ideology very on the left, in a spirit anarchist - Punk.
The most famous album of Chumbawamba remains Tubthumper , left in 1997 on the label EMI and condemned by much because of the concession made to the large recording companies, however it made it possible many people to discover Chumbawamba. To note American pressing a slightly different small pocket and without the initial booklet proposes which takes again many quotations of authors and activists.
