Chuck Mangione
Chuck Mangione is a buglist (and to a lesser extent, trumpet player) of Jazz American born on November 29th, 1940 with Rochester in the state of New York. One owes him in particular the jazz-pop tube Feels So Good , which obtained an international success in 1978. Since the beginning of the Years 1960, it left more than 30 albums and played with the great names of the jazz. It begins its career with his brother Gap Mangione within the Jazz Brothers, group having recorded 3 albums for Riverside Records. From 1958 to 1963, he studies with the Eastman School off Music then joined the Jazz Messengers of Art Blakey, taking the place of the trumpet player, formerly occupied by great names such as Clifford Brown, Kenny Dorham, Bill Hardman or Lee Morgan. From 1968 to 1972, Mangione off becomes director of the group of jazz of the Eastman School Music then records a concert with the philharmonic orchestra of Rochester as well as other guests. Its four-bit byte with the saxophonist Gerry Niewood was popular at the beginning of the Années 1970. Its piece Chase the Clouds Away was used during the Olympic Games of 1976 and its Give It All You Got was used as topic for the Winter Olympics of 1980 which were held with Lake Placid. He played on line at end of the ceremony, which was retransmise in the whole world. Its tube Feels So Good marked the spirits so much so that it was indicated like the piece most universally recognized since the Michelle of the Beatles. Recently, the radios Smooth jazz of the the United States chose Feels So Good like their song n°1 of all times. Chuck Mangione is today an emblematic figure of the popular culture states-unienne and many series refer there, following the example episode of Friends.
