Chtche vmerla Ukraïna

Chtche vmerla Ukraïna (in French, the Ukraine did not die yet ) is the Ukrainian national anthem. It was composed by the father Mykhaïlo Verbytsky and the words are of Pavlo Tchoubynsky, drawn from a poem published for the first time in 1863 in the newspaper of Lviv Meta .

It is about a patriotic song which exalte the love of the Ukraine and cultivates the memory of the national heroes, like Severyn Nalyvaïko (death in 1597), chief of the popular insurrection in Ukraine and Bielorussia (1594-1596).
