Chrysler 300

The 300 is a car built by Chrysler. It is called 300C in Europe. She is proposed in the truck and version station-wagon (Touring) only in Europe. She is manufactured since 2005, but several models of the mark were called 300 until today. It is assembled in the factory of Brampton (Ontario) with the Canada for the North-American market, and that of Graz for the European market.

Motorisations (2007)

Engines 2,7 and 3,5 liters are V6 provided by Mercedes just like the diesel, while the 5,7 and the 6,1 liters are V8 are engines Hemi of Chrysler.

Completions (2007)

The variations of the 300 are very different according to whether one is in Europe or North America.

In Europe, two completions exist: the 300C and 300C STR8 in Truck, the 300C Touring which means " here; Station-wagon ".

In North America, there exist several completions, very in the truck since the station-wagon is not marketed there: - 300 " Classic" (propulsion only) - 300 Touring (available in 4 driving wheels or propulsion) - 300 Limited (available in 4 driving wheels or propulsion) - the 300C, that sold in Europe (available in 4 driving wheels or propulsion) - 300C SRT8 (propulsion only)

History

1955-1965

In 1955, Chrysler leaves a model C-300, C then meaning Coupé. It is first 300 of a series of 12 cars left each year since 1956 (300B) until 1965 (300L). C-300 of 1955 would thus be equivalent to a " 300A" explaining the letter B used in 1956.

1970 Hurst 300

5 years after the last series of the Half-compartments 300,501 units of Hurst 300 are marketed but do not reprenennent the spirit of the preceding models.

1979 Cordoba 300

News short appearance of number 300 at Chrysler at the time of the exit of a special series of the Chrysler Cordoba, produced with only 3.811 specimens.

1999 300M

In 1999, Chrysler decides ressuciter the series of the 300 well-read women while continuing where it had stopped in 1965, with the letter L, while launching the 300M one year after fusion with German Daimler. The car will be produced during 5 years, until 2004.
