Chrysaor

In the Greek Mythology, Chrysaor (in Greek old Χρυσάωρ / Khrysáôr ), wire of Poséidon and Jellyfish, brother of PEGASE, is a giant .

Violated by Poséidon in a temple dedicated to Athéna, Méduse is transformed by the goddess into anger into Gorgone. When Persée slices the head to him, his/her two children are released.

The name of Chrysaor suggests that it carries a gold sword ( χρυσός / khrysós , “gold” and ἄορ / aor , “sword”). He is married with Callirrhoé, a Océanide, which he has the giant Géryon like Échidna according to Hésiode (v. 295).
