The chrysanthemums are Plante S annual or long-lived belonging to several kinds of the family of the Asteraceae , whose certain species are very cultivated like plants of ornament. Étymologiquement “chrysanthemum” means “gold flower” ( Ο χρυσος , gold, and Το ανθος , the flower).
Most known of the chrysanthemums are the chrysanthemums of autumn, or chrysanthemum of the florists (pomponette), devoted to fleurissement of the Tombe S at the time of the All Saints' day. It is of variety S selected and cultivars several species.
With the Japan, the chrysanthemum is the symbol of the imperial family and one finds one of them on the Imperial Sceau of Japan.
