Protohistoire
- -13.000 and -7.000 years before our era: First occupation of Savoy.

Antiquity
- - 122: Defeats Allobroges by the Romans, close to Avignon.
- -42: Axima (today Likes) becomes the capital about it, under the name of Forum Claudii Ceutronum
- -6: Final tender of the Alpine tribes (Trophy of Turbie)
- 171: Administrative reform and territorial, unification of the provinces of the the Alps Graies and the the Alps Pennines (canton of the Were worth).
- 286: New reorganization with the fusion of the the Alps Graies and the the Alps Pennines, and the Viennese (of which Allobrogie) becomes a province with for capital Vienna.
- Towards 290: the “legion thebaine” has as an order to kill the population of Octodure (Martigny). Among the legionaries refusing this treatment, the Martyr Maurice d' Agaune (future Maurice saint), which becomes patron saint of the family of Savoy.
- 443 : Foundation of the kingdom of the Burgondes in Sapaudia
- 515: Foundation of the territorial Abbey of Saint-Maurice d' Agaune
The Middle Ages
- Towards 443, the Roman general Aetius concedes the Sapaudia with German people , the Burgondes, originating in the Main
- 501: The King of Burgondes Gondebaud writes the code known as of the Loi Gombette.
- 726: Abbon founds l´abbaye of Novalaise to the foot of the Mount-Cenis, in the valley of Suse.
- 962: Bernard de Menthon founds the two old people's homes of the collars of the Large-Saint-Bernard and the Small-Saint-Bernard.
- 1019: Foundation of the Abbey of Talloires.
- 1027 - 1047: Humbert (v. 980-v. 1048), called White-hands , founder of the House of Savoy. In 1032, it receives the title of Count de Maurienne and the territory of Savoy (province of Savoy Propre), which becomes ground of Empire.
- 1051: Othon Ier of Savoy wife Adelaide de Suse.
- 1076: The emperor Henri IV (which married the girl of Odon 1st, Berthe of Savoy) passes the Mount-Cenis, the family of Savoy receives the grounds of Bugey, the Marquisat d' Ivrée and the Chablais.
- 1083: Foundation of the abbey of Contaminate-on-Arve.
- 1097: Foundation of the Abbey Notre-Dame d' Aulps.
- 1132: Foundation of the Abbey Notre-Dame de Tamié.
- 1139: Foundation of the Abbey of Hautecombe.
- 1143: Amédée III receives the title of count de Savoie .
- 1232: Purchase of Chambéry which becomes the capital of the counts de Savoie.
- 1248,24 with the November 25th: Crumbling of the Mount Granier.
- 1310: Bonneville becomes the capital of the Faucigny in the place of Cluses.
- 1355: treaty of Paris, end of the conflict enters France and Savoy.
- 1391: Nice becomes Savoyard ground.
- 1416, February 19th: The emperor sets up the Comté of Savoy in duchy.
Duchy and Kingdom of Savoy (1416 to 1792)
- 1536 - 1553: 1 occupation Frenchwomen of the duchy.
- 1536: Transfer of the capital of the duchy to Turin.
- 1590 - 1600: Occupation of the Chablais by the Bernese.
- 1600 - 1601: 2nd French occupation. Henri IV enters Chambéry.
- 1601, January 17th: The Traité of Lyon puts an end to the conflict between Charles-Emmanuel I {{er}} duke of Savoy and the king of France Henri IV. Loss of the Bresse, Bugey, Valromey.
- 1602: Failure of the Climbing on Geneva.
- 1622, died of Saint François Dirty.
- 1690 - 1696: 3rd French occupation. The troops of Louis XIV occupies Savoy.
- 1703 - 1713: 4th French occupation.
- 1713, April: Victor-Amédée II receives the crown of Sicily which it exchanges with the Sardinia in 1718.
- 1728 to 1738: realization of the Sardinian Map.
- 1742 - 1749: Spanish occupation in 1742-49, without counting.
- 1786, August 8th: Jacques Balmat and the doctor Michel Paccard, while passing by the Grands Mules arrives at the top of the Mont Blanc.
- 1787, August 3rd: Horace-Bénédict de Saussure, accompanied by its manservant and of eighteen Guide S reaches the top.
French Savoy of 1792 to 1815
- 1792, September 22nd: Entry of the revolutionary troops in Savoy. Escapes of the elites of the duchy.
- 1792, November 27th: The Duchy of Savoy and its six provinces become the department of Mont Blanc, part of the territory will form with Geneva in 1798, the department of Léman.
- 1793: Several revolts against the new republican capacity, in Faucigny (April, May), Tarentaise, Thônes (May), Rumilly (August). May 18th: Judgment of Marguerite Frichelet (shot 20)
- 1814, May 30th: The treaty of Paris divides Savoy into two.
Buon governo and Risorgimento (1815 to 1860)
- 1815, June: Following the treated of Paris of 1815, Victor Emmanuel I {{er}}, brother of Charles-Emmanuel IV returns of his exile of Cagliari and recovers Piedmont and Savoy.
- 1820: Creation of the Academy of Savoy, the Academy of Science, the humanities and arts of Savoy.
- 1821, July 24th: Creation of the Company of the guides of Chamonix.
- 1836: Foundation of Albertville.
- 1838: The Savoyard Company establishes the first railroad in Savoy (Chambéry - the Le Bourget-of-Lake).
- 1855, June 7th: Allobroges is played for the first time by a Sardinian quota during the Crimean War. (Anthem of Savoy)
- 1857: Germain Sommeiller proceeds to the first opening of the Mount-Cenis (railway Tunnel of the Mount-Cenis).
- 1859, June 24th: The brigade of Savoy illustrates itself with the Bataille of Solferino.
The Annexation of Savoy (1860)
- March 24th: The Traité of Turin is signed, Savoy is from now on " rattachée" in France.
- April 22nd:
- April 29th votes by plebiscite: Proclamation of the results by the Court of Appeal of Chambéry, “yes” and “yes and zone” carry it by: 47000 votes against 235 (: 130839 voters)
- August 27th with the September 5th: Travel of l emperor Napoleon III and l´impératrice.
Integration with the French nation (1861-1914)
- 1870, September 24th: Departure of the 1st battalion of Savoy, ordered by Albert Costa de Beauregard.
- 1871, from September 17th to 19th: Official unveiling of the railway Tunnel of the Mount-Cenis.
- 1872, September 21st - October: Travel of Leon Gambetta. The October 5th, with Bonneville, it pronounces the sentence “… the clerical party. Yes, c´est there l´ennemi. ”
- 1872: Launching d´une Company of Navigation on the lake d´Annecy (CNLA), rival of the municipal company. (See also Boats of cruising of the Annecy Lake)
- 1909, May 29th: Inauguration of the Railroad of Montenvers (Chamonix).
- 1913: Creation of the Bank of Savoy.
- 1924: Winter Olympics of 1924 with Chamonix.
- 1923-1932: Litigations between France and Switzerland (Business of the free zones)
From one war to another (1914 to 1945)
- 1940, June: The 10, Mussolini declares the war in France. 20, Italian offensive in the Alps. The June 21st, the German troops pass the Rhone and enter to Savoy. 25, stop of the engagements.
- 1941,22- September 23rd: Visit of the Marshal Philippe Pétain.
- 1943, January 1st: Occupation of Savoy by the Italian troops.
- 1943: Constitution of the maquis.
- 1943: Bombardment the July 26th, 16 September 17th and November 11th of Modane which controls the access to the railway Tunnel of the Mount-Cenis.
- 1944,24- March 26th: Tragedy of Glières (Maquis of Glières), Demolished weapons, but victory of the hearts (Novel-Small Henri)
- 1944, August-September: Release by the resistance of Savoy.
Savoy since 1945
- 1952: The Lake Chevril drowns the old village of Tignes.
- 1960: Centenary of the Fastening of Savoy. (See Annexation of Savoy)
- 1962, March 18th: Signature of the Agreements of Evian.
- 1963, July 6th: Decree allowing the creation of the National park of Vanoise.
- 1965, July 16th: Inauguration of the road tunnel of the My-White.
- 1989, February: Launching of TV8 Mont Blanc.
- 1970, October: Constitution of the Union of the learned societies of Savoy (See List of the learned societies of Savoy)
- 1971-1972: Discusses on a Savoy area. 1971, Creation of the Movement Area Savoy. May 15th 1973, the General advices of Savoy and Haute-Savoie vote. The General advice of Savoy, unfavorable to the creation of an area, votes the morning for a trade union interdépartemental. The General advice of Haute-Savoie, although favobale, takes note at the time of the vote the afternoon. The rapporteur Henri Briffod, savage opposing to a Savoy area, points out that “to marry, it is necessary to be two”…
- 1990, December 14th: Reopening of the Imperial De luxe hotel (Annecy).
- 1992,8 - February 23rd: XVI {{E}} Winter Olympics was held in 1992 with Albertville.
- 1998, March 15th: Patrice Abeille of the Savoyard Ligue obtains a seat with the District council of the Rhone-Alps.
- 1999, March 24th: Catastrophe of the Tunnel of Mont Blanc.
