Chronicles of Cheysulis

Chronicles of Cheysulis is a series of books written by Jennifer Roberson. The series counts eight volumes telling the adventures of the royal dynasty of Homana, of the cheysulis which are beings living in symbiosis with lirs (whose definition is about the same one as that of the Dæmon S of Philip Pullman). The mortal enemies of the cheysulis are Ihlinis, of large quasi immortal magi.
