Christopher

Christopher , of its complete name Christopher Skirted , is a author of Cartoon. Born with Middlesbrough (the United Kingdom) from an English mother and a French father, it grows at Gréasque, mining village beside Aix-en-Provence. After a baccalaureat successful in 1989, it joined Paris and the Applied arts.

In 1994, it launches out in the cartoon by creating the associative structure of edition the illustrated Comedy. It is immediately joined by Jean-Paul Jennequin, Philippe Marcel, Mehdi Sahmi, Jean-Philippe Peyraud, Massonnet and Philippe Of Fuente for what will be one of the first labels known as independent of cartoon. In this structure, Christopher will publish the unfinished tales of David Watts, hero lunar in Paris of dream where Darwin meets Néfertiti, Woody Allen or Humphrey Bogart. He will write for Jean-Philippe Peyraud With drinking and eating, collection of stories of daily life. Parallel to its work of author/editor, it will publish in different fanzines (Scarce, Goinfre, Beurk, Stéréoscomic) and various microphones editors (Thirteen strange, Gradually). He works in the Atelier of the Vosges, at the side of Christophe Blain, Sfarr…

In 1999, he moves with his wife, Nadia Sahmi, with Tours. There, it begins a new series entitled the Girls. Series which tells the made-to-order of a sitcom, vexations of five tourangelles coeds. Pyjamas party (the girls volume 1) will mark a turning in its career, since it is its first book color and that it starts to be made wish large editors. The series the girls is recovered by the editions Carabas after the first two titles (Pyjamas party, painted Papier) are exhausted with the illustrated comedy. It publishes in the illustrated comedy Irremediable the, succession of gags on the world of the roleplay written by his brother-in-law Mehdi Sahmi for the magazine Casus Belli.

To Tours, it assembles the Pop Atelier and will ensure the collective works Each one its Turns and Tours Turns. In 2004, it leaves the Pop workshop to found the Atelier Cachalot, with an old accomplice of the illustrated Comedy, Philippe Of Fuente. This year, it publishes All I Need Is Love with the editions Panini, affirming its predilection for the stories of the daily newspaper. In 2005, it signs in the new Expresso collection of the editions Dupuis a series entitled the joint tenants with Sylvain Runberg. In 2006, he writes Love Song, a series in the Polyptyque collection with the editions of the Lombard. Series particularly noticed by the critic, since one discovers a deeper and black facet of the universe of this author. Love Song tells the friendship between four fans of rock'n'roll on bottom of songs of the Sixties. The covers of its books will evoke, in turn, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who and the Kinks. Series which will make it possible the author to tell his passion for the music, its love for England and its fascination for the human relations.

Christopher, prolific author, are a fine observer of its congeneric, telling in a subtle and amusing way, the vexations of the life, human comedy.
