Christophe de Ponfilly

Christophe de Ponfilly (born the January 5th 1951 with Paris and deceased the May 16th 2006 with Rambouillet, where it committed suicide) was an author, realizer, producer and journalist French. He is also the cofounder (with Frederic Laffont) of the news agency Interscoop and the production company Albert Films.

Biography

He carried out more than one forty reports and the documentary ones, of which several on the Afghanistan and the commander Massoud. He is also the author of many works like Massoud the Afghan (1998) or Scoops (2002).

Christophe de Ponfilly carried also out a film of fiction for the cinema, the star of the soldier , turned in Afghanistan and reporting the adventures of a young constrained Russian soldier to carry out his military service in Afghanistan. He is made prisoner and discovers the true face of those which he is supposed to fight. This posthumous film left to France in rooms the November 22nd 2006; the book associated with film is appeared with the Editions Albin Michel; a cartoon of Rene Follet is appeared at Casterman.
