Christophe Izard

Christophe Izard is a man of French television born the May 30th 1937 with Paris.

It is especially known as originator of programs for youth on TF1 between 1974 and 1987 where it in particular launched the character of Casimir.

Biography

After studies of right (his/her father is lawyer), it begins as saxophonist in a jazz band. Impassioned music, Boris Vian opens to him the doors of the review Jazz Magazine . It writes also chronicles for France Soir (heading " Disc and Music-Hall") and the Sunday newspaper. It is, the February 25th 1966, the witness of marriage of Chantal Goya and Jean-Jacques Debout.

It starts its televisual career in 1968 when he becomes producer of varieties for ORTF, with emissions such as With the poster of the world (price of the Best man TV of the year in 1970), Tilt or the guest of Sunday . It also takes part in the drafting of Info First , the Tv news of the time, and in addition writes various works, of which detective novels in the collection Crime Club ( death by pity , " Death had put gants") and a collection on Gilbert Bécaud.

In 1971, it writes and produced the magic Attic window , a musical comedy joining together of many high-speed motorboats of the time: Daniel Prévost, Sheila, Charles Trenet, Michel Polnareff, Michel Fugain, Carlos… and even the presenter Leon Zitrone.

In 1974, he becomes originator and producer of programs for youth. One owes him of many emissions which will mark a whole generation: the Island with the children (inspired by the American emission Sesame Street), the Visitors of Wednesday, the Village in the clouds, Hello Mickey, Vitamin, Wednesday me all etc It remains on TF1 until in 1987.

He was director of the programs youth of TF1 of January 1975 to the end of May 1987; at the time of the privatization of the chain, Dorothée (coming from A2) was named in its place.

It creates then the company Calipa Productions and produced " Zappe Zappeur" for TF1, then " Frustrés" adapted of Claire Bretécher for Antenna 2. In 1988, he sees himself entrusting the management of the programs youth on Antenne 2. In 1990, become independent producer, it launches on Antenne 2 the weekly series " Hanna Will bore Nutcase Dong ".

In 1991, it obtains the position of director of the productions in France Animation, with programs such as Albert the 5th Musketeer, Robinson Sucroë, Ivanoé knight of the King, Babalous or Patrouille 03, etc
