Christophe Barbier

Biography

Former student of the National university, it is graduate ms Media of ESCP-EAP (1992).

Political Journalist passed by the Point (1990) and Europe 1 (1995), he became director of the political service of the Express train in 1996, then assistant editor of the drafting in 2001 and, since the departure of Denis Jeambar the August 10th 2006, director of the drafting.

It took part every week during 3 years (until the July 7th 2006) in the emission That disputes animated by Victor Robert on I-TV in company of Eric Zemmour of the Figaro .

It is often invited today in the emission of Yves Calvi, C in the air , on France 5. At its sides, are very often present Roland Cayrol and Pierre Giacometti.

Within the framework of an agreement between the Express train and LCI, Christophe Barbier ensures a daily political interview on this chain since September 2006.

If it forever exposed its political convictions, it on the other hand defends the idea of a committed journalism but not partisan. Thus, it clearly supported the " oui" with the European Constitution and the ecological Pact of Nicolas Hulot.

It is also large impassioned Théâtre.

Criticisms

In 2007, it supports the reform of the magistrates' courts implemented by Rachida Dati at the reason which the courts create a request. This position is highly criticized within the magistrature, in particular by Maître Eolas.
