Christodule Ier of Athens
Its Bliss Christodule Ier or Christodoulos Ier (in Greek Χριστόδουλος Α' , born Paraskevaides with Xanthi (Thrace) in 1939) is the current primacy of the orthodoxe Église of Greece (since 1998).
Ordered priest in 1965, it is useful as secretary of the Holy synod, a key position of the leading authority of the Church of Greece, during all the Dictature of the colonels, under the archiépiscopat of Hiéronymos Ier, which one of the first supports of this authoritarian regime. This passage in the mysteries of the Church during one at the very least disturbed political time is decisive for its career: it is named métropolite of Démétrias in Thessalie in 1974, whereas it is old only 35 years. It tries systematically thereafter to mask this period of its activity, going as far as affirming to have been only one simple student during the dictatorship. See too -->
