Christina Lathan
Christina Lathan , born Brehmer on February 28th, 1958 with Altdöbern, is a Athlète of German Democratic republic, Olympic champion.
Specialist in the 400 m, it established several national records since 1976. The May 9th, with a time 49" 77, it became holder of the world records. It is the first time measured electronically under the 50 seconds.
With the Olympic Games of summer of 1976 with Montreal, it gained the money medal behind the Polonaise Irena Szewińska and in front of Ellen Streidt. Out of relay, it took gold with its compatriots Doris Maletzki, Brigitte Rohde and Ellen Streidt.
With Moscow, at the time of the Olympic Games of summer of 1980, it finished third on 400 m behind Marita Koch and Jarmila Kratochvílová and second out of relays 4 X.400 m with Gabriele Löwe, Barbara Krug and Marita Koch.
