Christian Goudineau
Christian Goudineau , born on April 5th, 1939, is professor with the Collège de France, holder of the pulpit of the National antiquities.
Biography
Christian Goudineau was member of the French École of Rome of 1965 to 1968. In 1968, it is appointed Assistant, then in charge of teaching then professor to the Université of Provence (Aix-en-Provence) in " national antiquities ". From 1975 to 1979, it is named Directeur of the U.E.R. " Letters " university of Provence. It leaves this university in 1984, date of its election at the Collège de France.From 1969 to 1982, it is named Directeur of historical Antiquities of Riviera and 1978, member of the Superior council of archaeological Research.
From 1985 to 1994, he is Directeur of the clean Unit of research of CNRS " Gallia - Gallia Prehistory and between 1992 and 1995, President of the Committee of the Archeology of CNRS
From 1985 to 2001, it chairs the Scientific advice of the Center European of the Mount-Beuvray
The pulpit of National antiquities
The pulpit of National antiquities was created in 1905 by Camille Jullian, which it first, wanted to anchor the history of Gaulle in higher education. Albert Grenier (of 1935 to 1948), then Paul-Marie Duval (of 1964 to 1982) succeeded to him.
It assigned two missions:
1- To try to advance the analysis and the reflection on subjects which connect Gaulle and our current world. What does she want to say “Gaulle”, how was born, who it was?
Which was the role of the conqueror (César)? How created for themselves myths, images,
of the heroes?
2- To make known the recent discoveries, starting from the building sites, of the publications or of
exposures, to make come in the seminars persons in charge of the principal operations
archaeological and to invite foreign researchers specialists in the “Celtic world”.
