Christian Estrosi
Christian Estrosi is a Politician French, born the 1 {{er}} July 1955 with Nice (the Alpes-Maritimes). It is President of the general advice of the Alpes-Maritimes and Secretary of State charged with Outre-mer near the Ministère of the Interior in the Gouvernement Francois Fillon II. He is father of two girls.
He initially was pilot of Grand Prix motorcylcist, before beginning a political career.
Political career
In 1983, it is elected city council man of Nice and becomes the assistant of the sports of the mayor Jacques Médecin. Two years later, it enters to the General advice of the Alpes-Maritimes from which he is the youngest child. In 1988, at 33 years, he is elected appointed Fifth district of the Alpes-Maritimes (Nice-Mountain) after having beaten with the second turn Jean-Hugues Colonna (PS). Its detractors of the right-hand side niçoise call it then the " motodidacte".
Parallel to these functions, he is elected in 1989 with the head of the departmental committee of the federation RPR of the Alpes-Maritimes. In 1992, he becomes first vice-president of the District council of Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure: he will leave his mandate of regional adviser in 2002 due to office plurality of mandate.
In 2001, Christian Estrosi is elected General adviser Canton of Saint-Etienne-of-Tinée with more than 80% of the voices as of the first turn. In the tread he is elected first vice president of the General advice of the Alpes-Maritimes.
Supported by faithful friends whose Jean-Claude Gaudin and Nicolas Sarkozy, it is re-elected appointed in 1993,1997 and 2002.
September 18th, 2003 following the resignation of Charles Ginésy, Christian Estrosi is elected President of the General advice of the Alpes-Maritimes, it is re-elected in March 2004, following the cantonal elections of 2004.
Christian Estrosi was rapporteur in 2002 and 2003 with the National Assembly of the laws on the internal security. For this reason, he is author of an amendment perennializing the provisions of articles 29,30 and 31 of the law of November 15th, 2001 known as “Law on the Daily Safety” adopted following the attacks of September 11th. These provisions intended for the fight anti-terrorist were to end initially on December 31st, 2003. They give access to the legal authority to the Log S of connections preserved by the suppliers of access to Internet which records the whole of the activity of all the French citizens on Internet. Since, judicial control on the access to the data of connection by the police force to removed summer (laws on the fight against the terrorism of 2005).
He is besides the author of “Insecurity: to save the Republic” published with the editions of the Rock in 2001.
The June 2nd 2005, it is named Deputy secretary with Town and country planning near the Minister of state, Minister of Interior Department and Town and country planning Nicolas Sarkozy, in the Gouvernement Dominique de Villepin. As of its nomination, it seizes files of the poles of competitiveness, then poles of rural excellence. In a preoccupation with an equity towards the whole of the territory, Christian Estrosi engaged so that 100% of the common Frenchwomen have access to high banc, with mobile telephony, but also on television numerical. During the last months of its function, it gives an opinion in favor of the Ferroutage and the river transport.
The June 10th 2007, it is re-elected appointed 5th district of the Alpes-Maritimes by obtaining 60,08% of the voices as of the first turn of the legislative election.
June 19th, 2007, it is named Secretary of State charged with Outre-mer near the Ministère of the Interior in the Gouvernement Francois Fillon II.
October 21st, 2007, he announces being candidate invested by UMP with the town hall of Nice.
