Christian Bataille

Christian Bataille is a French politician, born the May 13rd 1946 with Rieux-in-Cambrésis (Northern).

He is re-elected appointed the June 17th 2007, for XIIIe legislature (2007 - 2012), in the district of the Northern (22e) for the fifth consecutive time. He belongs to the socialist group.

At the time of the preceding legislature, he was vice-president of the commission of the economic affairs of the Assembly-Main road, and member of the Parliamentary office of evaluation of the scientific and technological choices.

Professor of letters, he is nevertheless a large specialist in the nuclear energy, of which he in favor, is shown by some to have the voice of the lobbys nuclear power. Law 91-1381 on research relating to the management of the Radioactive waste is usually named Loi Battles.

Faithful of the national management of the PS, it however joined the current of Henri Emmanuelli at the time of the Congrès of Grenoble, before returning to support the national majority later three years.

It chaired Fraternal maconnic members of Parliament.
