Christchurch (Dorset)

Christchurch is a urban electoral constituency and a city of the Dorset on the coast of the Manche, close to Bournemouth in the west and with the area New Forest in the east.

Although it is inside the historical borders of the Hampshire, at the local time of the reorganization of the government in 1974, it had been considered desirable that totality of what now is called the conurbation of the south-east of Dorset, which includes Bournemouth and Poole, was to belong to the same county. The room government district (≈conseil general), which has the " Borough status ", was consisted the fusion of the old city of Christchurch with part of rural area of Ringwood and Fordingbridge. Since that belonged to the county not-subway of Dorset.
