Christa Wolf

Christa Wolf , born on March 18th 1929 in Landsberg year der Warthe (Gorzów Wielkopolski) is a Romancière and German Essayiste . It is the the most famous writer of the ex- German Democratic republic.

Its life

In 1945 the family settles in the area of the Mecklembourg. Initially Christa Wolf worked as a literary assistance. It obtains its baccalaureat in 1949 and made studies of German with Jena then with Leipzig. It Maria in 1951 with the writer Gerhard Wolf and they had a girl (Annette) one year later. In 1964 and 1987 it was distinguished with the national price from GDR ( National Preis DER GDR ).
