Chris Ware

Chris Ware is an author of Cartoon American, born with Omaha (Nebraska) the December 28th 1967. He lives today with Oak Park, in the Illinois.

Its Acme Novelty Library Books astonishes by their formal perfection as by their variety: each collection receives a different pagination and a format. The feature of Chris Ware is as neat as the graphic and typographical design of its works, which is strongly influenced by the graphics of the end of the 19th century. The signature of the author is difficult there to find.

Initially, the books of Chris Ware were sold like strange and attractive objects. Its stories often draw up a pathetic portrait (with the sad direction as with the lamentable direction American of ) of the human being, which ages without including/understanding large-thing with its own life, as it is the case of Jimmy Corrigan.
