Chris Simon
Chris Simon (born on January 30th, 1972 with Wawa in Ontario with the Canada) is a player playing in professional hockey evolving/moving with the Islanders of New York of the National league of hockey.
Career
Simon was selected at the time of the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey in 1990 by the Flyers of Philadelphia during the second round (25e place on the whole). Its passage to Philadelphia of short duration since he will not even play for Flyers and is joined thereafter the Nordiques of Quebec. It then forms part of one of the largest exchanges of the history of the LNH in company of Peter Forsberg, Steve Duchesne, Kerry Huffman, Mike Ricci, Ron Hextall, as well as money and choices of first round for future fishings out in exchange of Eric Lindros. He plays for Scandinavian the three seasons then follows the frankness which moves and becomes the Avalanche of Colorado. He gains then the Coupe Stanley 1996. He is exchanged thereafter with the Capitals of Washington for which he plays 7 seasons.Then, he plays for the Blackhawks of Chicago during one seasons, another with the Rangers of New York and finally two of more with the Flames of Calgary.
He signs like free agent with the Islanders of New York on November 4th 2006 and during the summer 2007, he signs a prolongation of one year old contract with Islanders for: 800000 $US .
March 10th, 2007, it was suspended for 25 matches for blow of stick against the attacker of Rangers of New York, Ryan Hollweg. It misses the remainder by the regular season (there remained 15 match at the season), the series eliminating heats like some matches of the season 2007-08. It is then about the longest suspension of a player in the history of the LNH.
