Chris Hillman
Chris Hillman , born the December 4th 1944 with Los Angeles, is a Chanteur, Guitariste and American Compositeur of Country Rock. It was one of the members of origin of the group The Byrds.
Biography
It began while playing from the music Folk and Bluegrass with its group “Scottsville Squirrel Barkers” which included/understood also Larry Murray and Bernie Leadon (future member of the group The Eagles). It is one of the creator of the country rock'n'roll to the the United States.In 1965, it founded Byrds with Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby, and Michael Clarke.
After having left Byrds in 1968, it formed the Flying Burrito Brothers with Gram Parsons. Its group did not have hoped success, but it influenced the American music scene, and allowed the arrival of new talents like Emmylou Harris and Garth Brooks.
Hillman then joined Stephen Stills with the beginning of the year 1970, being its second in the Manassas group. They carried out a disc of quality in 1972.
Of 1973 with 1975, it made a new group with Richie Furay and J.D. Souther, called “Souther-Hillman-Furay Band”. Success N (not being aurendez with this group, Hillman then formed a trio with his/her former colleagues of Byrds, Roger McGuinn and Gene Clark.
With the beginning of the year 1980 Hillman made a return to the sources, country and bluegrass, by forming the group “The Desert Pink Band” with the musician of studio Herb Pedersen. The group had several hits between 1986 and 1993.
Hillman continues to compose and record country music and bluegrass with Herb petersen and the bass player Bill Bryson. In 2005 it carried out the album “The Other Side”.
