Chris De Burgh

Chris de Burgh is an Irish musician (October 15th 1948). It resides in Ireland in the county of Comté of Wicklow at the South of Dublin with his Diane wife and her children: Rosanna Davison ex Miss Monde 2003, Michael and Hubie.

Biography

Beginnings

Born in Argentinian with Venado Tuerto on October 15th, 1948 under the name of Christopher John Davison , of a diplomatic father Charles Davison and of a mother secretary Emily Maeve de Burgh of which it will take the name of young girl like pseudonym. it grows in several countries of which a passage by Nigeria. With L `age 12 years, his/her parents acquire of a castle of XIIe century in Ireland, which is transformed into hotel where it can learn the guitar and play its first compositions in public as of its first years of university. It gives hundreds in concerts near guests of the hotel and starts to consider a possible career of musician.

In the same time he studies with the Trinity College Dublin and obtains a license in French and English. Gradually it realizes that it should find a work and starts to sing to earn its living. Its very first scenes include a fast food and a hairdressing salon before it can sing in a small room with a group. Pushed by the possibilities which are offered to him it goes to London to try to obtain a contract. After two years of dead end it signs its first contract with the recording company A&M Records in 1974. He off undertakes a round in first part of the group Supertramp at the time of the famous round Crime the Century, which makes it possible to discover its immense talent.

A mini Européenne round followed the exit of the album but for the moment Chris de Burgh remains rather discrete in France. It envisages a return in the United Kingdom at the end of 2007.

In December 2006 Chris de Burgh is named ambassador of the the United Nations within the IINSAM, an intergovernmental institution of assistance near the people under fed.
