Christophe Condent was a Pirate English which directed the immigration of the pirates of the the Caribbean towards the Eastern seas. With its crew, it leaves New Providence in 1718, when Woodes Rogers becomes governor there.

At the time of the crossing of the Atlantic , an Indian, member of the crew, which violently was beaten and maltreated, threatened to set fire to the gunpowder stock. Condent intervenes then and a ball in full face draws to him. The crew would have then output the body in parts; Condent would have opened the chest, snatch then made leather the heart before eating it.

Later during the voyage, they will capture a trading vessel. Half of the crew then chooses to set out again, other half chooses Condent for captain.

Arrived at the islands of the Cape Verde, they capture a Portuguese ship transporting of the wine, a group of small boats and a war building Dutch. Condent keeps the Dutch ship and Flying Dragon baptizes it (the Flying Dragon).

The Flying Dragon carries on its road, passes near the side Brazilian and captures that and there some ships, Condent tortures in the passing some Portuguese prisoners in the their cutting ears and the nose.

Condent continues plunderings along the African coasts. In June or July 1719, it reaches Madagascar. Whereas it makes stopover with Sainte-Marie, it recruits some former members of crew of John Halsey.

It will survey the Indian Red Sea and coasts during approximately a year. In 1720, close to Bombay, the Flying Dragon captures an enormous Arab ship transporting a considerable quantity of treasures and richnesses, of a value of 150.000 pounds sterling. In order not to more overheat the English Company of the Eastern Indies, Condent orders with its men not to maltreat the crew and the passengers.

They turn over then to Sainte-Marie and divide the spoils (approximately 2.000 books per anybody). Condent and 40 of its men go on the island Bourbon and negotiate an amnesty with the French government there.

There, a score of man settle but Condent leaves as for him for the France after having taken for wife Brittany, the sister-in-law of the governor. It will become a commercial rich person there.

Several other pirates will follow the way opened by Condent of New Providence to Madagascar, like Edward England and John Taylor on their ship Pearl.
