Chretiennery

The term chretiennery is a Québécisme to indicate a Remarque or a désobligeants Commentaire or denied. This term is named in the honor of Jean Chrétien, old Prime Minister of Canada.

Note : Jean Chrétien does not have the monopoly of the chrétienneries. Any person who speaks with a public is sometimes brought to make a chretiennery.

History

Journalists noticed that Jean Chrétien, then Prime Minister of Canada, answered the questions or commented on various situations without weighing her remarks.

A Journaliste then decided to catalog these expressions and to publish them in a collection: Chrétienneries . In front of the success of the first collection, he repeated with Chrétienneries 2 .
