Chorus of boys of Basle
Founded in 1927, the Chœur of boys of Basle (KKB) (Knabenkantorei Basel) celebrated its sixty-fifteenth birthday in 2002. This chorus, resulting from the Chorus of boys of the church evangelist reformed of Basle-City , is confessionnellement neutral today. He interprets works has cappella or with accompaniment of Orchestre and forms Soliste S. the repertory extends from the sacred music or layman with the Renaissance until the Modern music.
In particular the chorus interpreted following works with accompaniment of orchestra: the Magnificat and Passion according to St-Marc of C.P.E. Bach, Passion according to St-Matthieu , Passion according to St-Jean and Oratorio of Christmas of J.S. Bach, the Cantata of St-Nicolas of B. Britten, the Messiah of G.F. Haendel, the Mass of Crowning , the Requiem of W.A. Mozart, and Elias of F. Mendelssohn.

The chorus organizes many Concert S and answers invitations in Suisse and abroad: Maastricht, Netherlands, Saint-Pétersbourg, Russia, New York, Philadelphia, Seton Hall (the United States), Hungary, Germany, Finland, Estonia. For its 70e birthday the chorus made a round in South Africa where it gained an immense success. In 1999, the singers carried out a round in concerts in Czechoslovakia. With the autumn 2000, the chorus sang with Berlin, Potsdam and Poznań. In July 2002, the chorus celebrated its 75e birthday with the Brésil with many concerts in various cities. In 2003, the chorus takes share with the Festival choruses of Venice, Venezia in Musica .
It also took part in many other festivals: International Weeks of the Music of Lucerne, the Festival of Nantes , the International festival of Choruses of Children of Poznań (Poland), the International festival of Choir singing of Nancy.
The chorus prepares soloists for different opera S and Oratorio S (Basle, Bern, Freiburg-in-Brisgau). The KKB is also the host of the Festival of European Choruses of Youth .
Since 1983, the chorus was directed by Beat Raaflaub, which left its station in 2007. The new chief is Markus Teutschbein.
