Choralies

Choralies are a Festival of Choir singing bringing together nearly 4.000 singers and musicians amateurs and professionals, organized every three years by the Federation In heart joy. The first edition took place in 1953.

The festival lasts nine days and takes place with Vaison-the-Roman in the Vaucluse.

2010 will see the twentieth edition.

There exists also a version for children and teenagers of Choralies: the Cantillies

Principle

Workshops

The festival ones are registered with a workshop and repeat each morning a philosopher's stone who will be given in concert during the festival. About fifteen workshops are proposed, active Jazz with Mozart while passing by the cuban music or the polyphony of the Renaissance.

The workshops, always different from one edition to another, are directed by chiefs of professional choruses and often of international repute.

Concerts of participating choruses

The choruses, amateurs or professionals have the possibility of coming in " chorus constitué" and to give one or more concerts to Vaison or in the surroundings.

Concerts of invited choruses

Professional choruses or orchestras are invited to give concerts in evening to the ancient theater of Vaison.

Common song

Each evening, before the concert with the theater takes place a meeting of common song where the 4.000 festival ones sing together parts of the common repertory of has Heart Joy
