Chomskybot
The area of Chūbu (中部地方, Chūbu-chihō ) is the central part of Honshū, the principal island of the Japan.
Located between the Area of Kantō, in the east, and the Area of Kansai, in the west, it consists of new prefectures:
- the Prefecture of Aichi;
- the Prefecture of Fukui;
- the Prefecture of Gifu;
- the Prefecture of Ishikawa;
- the Prefecture of Nagano;
- the Prefecture of Niigata;
- the Prefecture of Shizuoka;
- the Prefecture of Toyama;
- the Prefecture of Yamanashi.
This area occupies the broadest part of the island of Honshū. Crossed by the the Japanese Alps, it is characterized by its mountainous relief.
The area of Chūbu breaks up into three distinct entities:
- the Area of Hokuriku, a coastal strip on the Sea of Japan, which is an area of production of Riz;
- the Area of Kōshinetsu, located more inside the grounds;
- the Area of Tōkai, with the east, a narrow corridor on the peaceful coast .
The area of Chūbu includes/understands the towns of Nagoya, Niigata and Nagano. Its mountainous relief lodges many ski stations. The Mont Fuji is there.
The area is served by the International airport of Chūbu like by the Aéroport of Nagoya. As regards the surface transports, Chūbu is irrigated by the networks highway and railway (Shinkansen).
